Notice at Collection
In the preceding 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information:

Customer records - billing and shipping address, telephone number, and payment information, which is processed by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.

Purposes. To process and deliver your orders, to provide customer service, to operate, secure and improve our website, to send marketing communications where permitted, to measure and target advertising, and to comply with our legal obligations.
Retention. We retain personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes described above and for the periods required by accounting and tax law. Order and transaction records are retained for five years. Marketing contact data is retained until you unsubscribe.
Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information for money.
However, we do share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, which is treated as a sale or share under certain United States state privacy laws. Specifically, we disclose identifiers, internet activity, commercial information and inferences to advertising and analytics platforms including Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest and Snap so that we can measure and target our advertising.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
We also disclose personal information for business purposes to our payment processors, logistics and fulfilment providers, IT and hosting providers, customer service platforms, and to legal and financial advisers and public authorities where required by law.
Your Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:

Delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
Correct inaccurate personal information.
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising.

Opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. We do not engage in such profiling.
Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised a privacy right.
Appeal a decision we make on your request. Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky and Rhode Island may appeal by replying to our decision email with the word Appeal. We will respond within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General.
How to Exercise Your Rights
You may submit a request in either of the following ways:
Email info@cainte.com with the subject line United States Privacy Request, stating which right you wish to exercise.
Use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer of our website to opt out of sale and sharing.
We will verify your identity before acting on a request to know, delete or correct, normally by confirming information associated with your order or account. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days, extendable once by a further 45 days where reasonably necessary.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require written proof of the agent's authority and may require you to verify your own identity directly.
Global Privacy Control
We recognize and honor opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control. If you visit our website with GPC enabled, we will treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information for that browser and device.
Notice of Financial Incentive
We offer a rewards programme and discounts for newsletter and SMS subscribers. These are financial incentives connected to the collection of personal information.
What we collect: your name, email address, telephone number where provided, and purchase history.
What you receive: access to rewards, member pricing and subscriber discounts.
How to join and leave: you join by signing up and may withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us. Withdrawing ends your access to the incentive but has no other effect on your account.
Value of your data: we estimate the value of the personal information collected under these programmes to be reasonably related to the value of the discounts and rewards offered, calculated as the total expense of the programme relative to the number of participants. We do not assign a monetary value to personal information for any other purpose.
California Shine the Light
